THE FISH SHOP CAMBERLY
Sue Lucas’s bustling fish shop in Camberley — a much-loved local business — recently expanded into the neighbouring unit, creating an opportunity to reimagine its interior with a distinctive splash of colour. My brief was to design a series of glazed panels that would integrate seamlessly into the existing metal framework while bringing warmth, light, and personality to the new space.
I chose bold, vibrant blocks of coloured glass to create a clean, modern design that comes alive when sunlight pours through. Each pane was crafted using the same traditional methods once favoured by Tiffany — techniques that give the glass its unmistakable iridised shimmer and depth when illuminated.
The result is a space that feels bright, fresh, and inviting — a transformation that both staff and customers immediately noticed. The installation not only enhances the shop’s character but also reinforces its identity as a vibrant, community-focused business.
I create bespoke glass installations for both private homes and commercial premises — from restaurants and retail spaces to schools, clubs, and community buildings. Commission your own piece to transform your environment with light, colour, and artistry.
