Bombina Glass Club – Terms & Conditions

Glass Club is designed to provide a relaxed and supportive studio environment where you can work independently on your own glass projects, with access to studio equipment, facilities and kiln firing.

Booking and Payment

Glass Club sessions must be booked and paid for in advance in accordance with the current Glass Club price list.

Each booking uses one Glass Club session or credit.

I will confirm that the session is going ahead approximately 48 hours before the booked session.

If you cancel your booking before this 48-hour confirmation point, your credit will be retained and can be used to book another Glass Club session.

If I need to cancel a Glass Club session, including at the 48-hour confirmation point, your credit will also be retained and can be transferred to another session.

Once a session has been confirmed within 48 hours of the start time, cancellations or non-attendance will normally result in the session credit being used.

Materials

No glass, consumables or other project materials are included in the cost of a Glass Club session.

You are welcome to purchase glass and other materials directly from Bombina Glass, subject to availability, or to obtain your own materials from a commercial glass supplier such as Reading Stained Glass.

For fused glass projects, materials can also be purchased from suppliers such as Warm Glass.

Please note that all glass used for fusing at Bombina Glass must be Bullseye compatible glass. Different makes and types of fusing glass have different coefficients of expansion and may not be compatible with one another. For this reason, non-Bullseye glass must not be mixed with Bullseye glass or placed in the kiln without prior agreement.

If you are unsure whether a piece of glass is suitable for kiln firing, please check with me before using it.

Equipment and Studio Facilities

The cost of your Glass Club session includes reasonable use of the studio equipment and tools required for your project.

This includes access to equipment such as glass cutters, grinders, soldering equipment and other general studio tools, as appropriate to the type of work being undertaken.

Access to the kiln and standard kiln firing is also included in your Glass Club session.

Kiln firing will be scheduled alongside other studio work, and completed pieces may therefore need to be collected at a later date.

Using the Studio

Glass Club is intended for people who already have sufficient experience to work on their projects with a degree of independence.

I will be available to offer guidance and advice, but Glass Club sessions are not structured teaching sessions or workshops.

You are responsible for working safely, following studio instructions and using tools and equipment only in the manner in which you have been shown.

Please leave your workspace and shared equipment clean and tidy at the end of your session.

Your Projects

You are responsible for planning your project and ensuring that you have brought or purchased the materials you require.

Please discuss particularly large, complex or unusual projects with me in advance, especially where they may require significant kiln space, specialist firing schedules or additional equipment.

Additional charges may apply where a project requires unusually large quantities of kiln space, specialist materials or firing requirements outside normal Glass Club use. Any additional cost will be discussed and agreed with you beforehand.

Credits

Where a Glass Club credit is retained following an eligible cancellation, it can be used towards a future available Glass Club session.

Credits have no cash value and are not refundable or transferable to another person unless agreed with Bombina Glass.
