A captivating project unfolded when a client sought a window solution to infuse natural light into a dim lounge. However, due to its direct view into the neighbour’s garden, planning permission mandated an opaque design to preserve privacy.

Carefully navigating the requirements, I selected glass with textures or streaks, ultimately opting for water glass in the composition. This choice allowed abundant light to stream in while delicately diffracting it to maintain the desired level of privacy. To meet planning conditions, the window was securely mounted behind fireproof glass, especially crucial as it bordered a party wall.

The result is a final piece that bathes the lounge in a captivating play of light, enchanting in every weather condition. Remarkably, even the neighbours find joy in admiring the window from their garden on the other side!
