Painted and hand engraved window made as a commission for a private house
Created using an earth inspired pallet of colours.
An interesting brief from the client where the window had to let in a lot of light but had to be opaque to comply with planning permission.
Basil and Blue Cafe in Chobham is one of my favourite places. This picture was made during lockdown 2020 when I was missing them and my coffee.
The Georgian panes are replaced in the window with the painted panels adding interest and character to a room.
The Lemur is one of my favourite animals. Hand engraved on mouth blown blue flash glass, painted and fired in the kiln.

The windows are made by first creating three fused glass panels in the kiln and leading them together to the correct size for the window space.
Borrowed lights are one of my favourite windows to make. They fit above doors and create light in both hallways and rooms in houses.
Work begins on her head and body made from metal bar and other elements.
Details of the wings made from fused glass wired into the metal frame. Poetry written by the children is painted into the glass, fired in the kiln and wired into the structure.
